A little context.
A clearer answer.
The questions that change how you use a consistency calculator.
What is a prop firm consistency rule?
It limits how much of the relevant profit total can come from a single trading day. A 40% rule normally means your best day must be at or below 40% of that total. Plans may use a different denominator or a strictly-below boundary.
How much more profit do I need?
Divide your best day by the rule percentage as a decimal, then subtract your current period profit. A $1,800 best day at 40% needs at least $4,500 total. This assumes your best day and calculation period do not change.
Do losing days change the result?
For net-profit rules, yes: losses shrink the denominator and raise the percentage. Positive-days rules sum profitable days; winning-trade rules add winning trades even on losing days. Your plan selection sets the basis automatically.
Does going over the limit fail my account?
That depends on your plan. The linked rules for several covered plans describe an increased target or a payout condition rather than an account breach. The plan table shows the stage where each rule applies.
Can I earn the remaining amount today?
Not necessarily. If today is already your best day, further profit increases both the best day and the total. The displayed gap assumes the best-day amount stays unchanged, so it is not a same-day profit allowance.
Is the account size needed for consistency?
The ratio uses profit, not the full account balance. Account size can affect a separate profit target, minimum balance or payout cap. Those conditions are outside this percentage check.
Are my trading figures sent anywhere?
No calculation inputs are sent to a server. Calculations happen in your browser. Copy and Save work only when you click them; there is no account login or automatic storage.
